A number of rooms in one of the three hotels - Grand hotel Bernardin, Hotel Histrion or Hotel Vile Park have been booked for the ISOFOOD participants with a special offer. Book a hotel room
Hotel accommodation is to be paid directly at the hotel when checking out. Hotels will accept all major credit cards (American Express, Visa, Euro/MasterCard, Diners). Cancellations must be sent in writing. Your credit card details are required as a deposit guarantee - the one-night deposit will be charged to your credit card in case of a no-show or the reservation has been cancelled within three days before arrival.
LOCAL INFORMATION
Visa requirements
Most foreigners need only a valid passport for entry into Slovenia. Citizens of EU countries and several other countries can enter Slovenia on a valid personal identity card.
A foreigner wishing to enter the Republic of Slovenia needs a valid passport and a visa or residence permit unless otherwise stipulated by law or international agreement. More information on whether you need a visa to enter Slovenia can be found at:

A Letter of invitation or some other document may be obtained from the Congress Secretariat upon request.
Insurance
Participants should contact their travel insurance to cover medical expenses and all other risks. The organizer may not be held liable for damage or loss of luggage or personal belongings, for injury or loss or damage of any nature caused by participants or accompanying persons.
Currency
The Slovene currency is EUR. Foreign currency may be exchanged at banks, exchange offices, travel agencies, hotels, the airport, and railway stations. Automatic exchange machines are located in the city center.
Electricity
Voltage: 220V, 50 Hz. Sockets take 2 round-pin plug. Appliances designed to operate on 110/120V need a voltage converter and plug adapter.
Climate and clothing
In April, the weather in Portorož is generally pleasant, with an average daytime temperature of 18oC. The average temperature of the sea in April is 16oC. Clothing suitable for Central European seasons and an overcoat is recommended for cooler evenings.

Credit Cards
All major credit cards, such as MasterCard-Eurocard, Visa, American Express, etc,.. are accepted in most hotels, restaurants and shops.
